Three weeks in sunny beautiful Aruba flew by and now I an back to reality – snow and cold of New England. Sigh!
View from our balcony on 11th floor this year showing the tip of the island in the distance. We rented this room just for the third week. Next year we will be in the tower one week and in the villas which are in front of the tower. Marvelous view from this height!

.Night view of the pool which we never used. We prefer the ocean.
My mind is still on the lovely sand beach and under a palapa reading a book or soaking in the warm water of the Caribbean, or sitting at one of the marvelous restaurants enjoying a sangria and some delicious dish of fish (grouper, red or yellow snapper, barracuda, wahoo) and all the fixings – stir fried veggies, plantain, rice, potatoes, and polenta. There are many other choices at the restaurants besides fish if you prefer – steak, pork chops, chicken, lamb. All wonderful too!

One restaurant we visit each year is Waki Wahoo. We met a wonderful waiter there who looks just like Cheech Marin (the comedian team – Cheech and Chong). What do you think?

Good friends we meet each year
This young man above is Jesse. He is the boy that inspired me to write Jesse the Precocious Polar Bear which is dedicated to him. He is growing up to be a wonderful young man and so handsome. Jesse was very excited when I told him I would share his photo online on my blog and that it would go around the world. He was impressed!
More scenes from one of our beach parties
We had a beach party on Wednesday of each week where we got together under Trish and Marty’s palapa and shared drinks, snacks and laughs. They were our lovely and generous hosts to these parties. They are fabulous friends to have. I miss them! When Wednesday comes around I will have to have a drink in memory of all the fun we had until next year!

My new favorite drink on the island of Aruba – Red Sangria! Delicious with all kinds of fruit! Here’s to Aruba! Can’t wait to go back next year!
Thank you so much for stopping by to look at my photos of my favorite island! Hope you get to visit this lovely little happy island some time.
