Autumn is here!
The skies are bright.
The air is clear.
What a sheer delight!
Temps are dropping.
Trees are changing.
Time for fall shopping.
Tree colors are rearranging.
As I look around, it’s clear.
This is my favorite time of year!
After a wonderful and busy summer I look forward to things winding down a little before the holidays spring upon us. I love the cooler temps and the brilliant array of colors as the trees do their magical transformation. People come far and wide to witness this magnificent display that nature creates.
If you haven’t been in New England in the early fall you must come for a visit. The colors are changing now and will continue with their fantastic colors of red, orange, and yellow to reach their amazing peak in mid-October. It is breathtaking. In New Hampshire we have mountains, lakes, streams and the Atlantic Ocean to visit. There is nothing like clear, clean mountain air to breath, walking on mountain trails and sitting quietly while watching and listening to a bubbly stream.
Here are some of my fall decorations and a few Halloween ones thrown in to put you in the autumn mood.
Here are two trees in my neighborhood that are changing into a beautiful shade of crimson which will soon be more defined. It’s exciting to watch the colors suddenly appear to our eyes when they really have been gradually changing since the end of August.

Thank you for stopping by! I hope you have a wonderful day wherever you live. I wish you love, hope, beauty and joy in your daily life.

I like the fall too. But here in Eastern Ontario we have been having a heat wave for the past two weeks. This weekend we have been under a heat advisory. Right now it is 28 C but feels like 36 C with humidex (82 F and 97 F with humidex). Certainly does not feel like fall.
For two days we are in a Indian summer for weather too. It won’t last long and then the temps will drop again. We are enjoying the nice weather while we can. 🤗
The beginning of our summer here was terrible. We had so much rain and cooler than average temps. Then August hit and temps have been rising and we haven’t had much rain. It seems the seasons are off by about a month or two.
Hopefully, your weather will get better soon. 😲
Autumn is one of favourite times. I love the changing colours. You have lots of lovely decorations.
Thank you! 😀
Fall in New England really is the best.
It definitely is, Jennie! 😃
I love your pictures and poem, Janice. Halloween is not very big in South Africa so I will enjoy it on line with all of the Americans.
Thank you, Robbie! A lot of Americans love Halloween and really decorate and celebrate as much as for Thanksgiving and Christmas. We don’t do much and are usually away at that time. Hugs x
