I don’t usually preach about issues in the news or about politics but I have watched TV and cried when these shooting atrocities have been committed on school campuses, in movie theaters, post offices, places of employment. What is it going to take to stop it?!
Something must be done to make America safe for all Americans. Many years ago in New Hampshire I was in my backyard with my kids and dog and cat one day when I heard a gunshot. I rushed the kids and animals into the house. New Hampshire is the Live Free or Die state where guns are everywhere. I don’t like guns nor do we have one in our home but I have never felt unsafe in my community.
I think guns should not be easy to get especially the machine guns which should be outlawed completely. Guns in the wrong hands can be deadly. In our area people have guns to go hunting for deer, turkeys, etc. If guns were restricted then there would be an underground swell of illegal guns for sale. Disturbed people will find a way to get them just like drugs. There has to be a way to do something to protect everyone. Better screening has to be implemented before someone can buy a gun. Of course the best way would be to lock guns up for good from everyone but I don’t see that happening.
My heart goes out to all those lives taken and prayers to the families who have suffered tremendous and crushing losses. I wish there was an easy way to solve this but those in Washington have to take a stand. Make America safe again! May God bless America!
Thank you for stopping by. Please pray for America and all the lives lost.
Blessings to all!

Thanks for your thoughts! It is so scary! I wish there would be a solution. When i was growing up it was unheard of!
Yes, I don’t remember anything like this when I was growing up either. It is all so sad. Thanks for tonight by. We all need to pray that something like this never happens again.
Blessings & hugs!
Yes!
Amen to that!
Thanks, Annabelle. Nice to see you. Hugs & blessings!
This is such a touchy topic, and you wrote a great post. I agree we need very deep background checks, but even more, we need to do something to identify and help people with mental health issues. One thing I heard discussed is making it a requirement that all young people give a year of service to the country, similar to Israel and Germany. This would provide a good practical education for them and serve as a partial screening method for those with mental problems. Maybe it would make them think more about what it means to be lucky enough to live here.
Amen to that. Sounds like a good idea, Noelle. We are fortunate to live here. Thanks for stopping by. Blessings & hugs!
