I can’t believe that Christmas is eight days away! We are almost ready. Hope you are already too. There are so many preparations for the holidays but what we have to remember most is why we are celebrating Christmas – the birth of Christ!
I would like to share some of my poems for Christmas here. I will post one a day for the next few days.
This one I call A WARM AND FUZZY CHRISTMAS.
It’s a warm and fuzzy Christmas you see
wrapped in a blanket, robe and slippers and warm as can be,
sitting in front of the fire eating cookies and drinking cocoa, coffee or tea.
Outside children are bundled up in heavy jackets, leg warmers, mittens and scarves,
and throwing snowballs at each other creating happy smiles and laughs.
Candles in the windows, smells of popcorn popping so fast,
apple cider with cinnamon swirling.
How long will it last?
Hot soup simmering on the stove,
prepared for family members gathering together from far away they drove.
Sharing cards, puzzles, books, movies, dominoes, and board games
without close friends never feels the same.
Christmas and inspirational music playing in the background
while family and friends sip cordials and photo albums are shared and passed all around.
Before we know it Christmas Eve is here
and children must get to bed before Santa is near.
In their flannel pj’s they lay down their sleep heads on their soft pillows
while the snow and wind whip through the yard’s willows.
Soon we hear the little bells of his sleigh
and tomorrow we look forward to a warm and fuzzy Christmas Day.
Blessings for a wonderful Christmas to all!

That’s lovely. In Australia it’s warm too. Very warm. It’s going to be 40c (104F) today. 🙂
Thank you, Paul. It is only warm inside here. We are in our second snowstorm in the past four days. Today temps were 11 degrees.
Your poem is so cute, Janice. The perfect Christmas gift for all of us. We wish you a perfect day with your family.
