A Thanksgiving Poem:

This is the time of year.

That we take time to cheer.

And be thankful for all our blessings!

We celebrate this holiday with our loves ones.

A prayer of thanks will be said before and after too.

We will hold hands and bow our heads until it is through.

We will then enjoy a wonderful repast.

That will add pounds on our frames that just seem to last and last!

There will be turkey, stuffing and gravy galore.

Pass your plate and it will be filled with more.

There will be squash, rolls and green bean and peas.

And of course lots of desserts if you please!

We will sip a little wine or a port or two.

And enjoy each other’s company and share news and stories, just a few.

At the end of the day we will feel refreshed with food and love that is shared.

Another wonderful Thanksgiving Day by all is declared!

I am thankful for all that I have and am hopeful that all of you reading this will join me in remembering all those who are less fortunate and all our servicemen and women who are not home on this day.
