Happy St. Patrick’s Day and Think spring!

Happy St. Patrick’s Day to all!

On this day each year we are all Irish, whether big, little, short or tall.
Corned beef and cabbage seems to be the favorite food of the day.
Make sure you have an Irish blessing at the meal to say.
Irish soda bread and cupcakes with icing in green,
Will complete the meal and all fingers will be licked clean.
Be sure to have some coffee with Irish whiskey.
But be careful it has been known to make you frisky.
Enjoy your day and leave some time for play.

Easter is almost here.

It’s the time to spend the blessed day with family and friends so dear.
Cook up a turkey, ham or pork roast.
Take out the special wine and make a toast.
Let us bow our heads and pray.
For Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior has risen today!

Spring is almost here!

Peeking through the snow (if you still have some) you will see.
Lovely crocuses they will be.
In colors of blue, yellow, or white.
They will certainly fill you with delight.
Though they do not grow very tall,
And are so small, you may not at first see them at all.
They are known as the harbingers of spring.
Ahh, seeing them makes my heart take wing.
Lovely, much needed spring!

  1. Very nice! And at this time, with Winter refusing to give way to Spring, I await ANY harbinger of warmer weather.
