What Am I Doing on my Writing Break from WIP?

Of course, I can’t just sit still while I am on a break from my next WIP. I have too much pent up energy to do that. So, you ask – what am I doing in between books?

Here is a list of what I have been doing with photos. Sewing, sewing, and more sewing! I have a beautiful new machine that my husband bought me last year. It has over 100 stitches. I have fun trying them out on different projects. Here is what I have done so far with more to come.

Sports wine cozies
More cozies
Boston Bruins Glass Cases
Wine Cozies & Glass cases – Boston Bruins
Patriots wine cozy with appliques and wine – I bring these cozies with a bottle of wine to friends’ houses when invited there. They always love them!!

I love to crochet too. I usually do most of my crocheting (large items) in the winter months. It is so comforting to sit at night with a warm, soft and cuddly new project on my lap as it grows.

Crocheted Headband

I am also in the process of making more headbands. Can’t have enough of them. I love them and wear them all fall and winter and into the spring. Summer is too hot for them. I have many more to make. Then onto my afghans again. I make them with blanket yarn. They are warm, soft and cuddly. Everyone wants one. Here are a couple I made for myself. Most I give away. Soon it will be the season of giving. I can’t wait! I have lots of items to give away! I love the feeling of joy when I give something away especially if the receiver is joyful too!

I have a few yards of other fabric – Celtics and Red Sox – to work on next. I can’t help myself. I keep giving myself projects to do to keep busy. Soon I will get back to my books. I had been feeling exhausted from publishing 12 books in two years. It was the most I had ever done. My mind is clearer now and almost ready to begin again. But now I have all these projects lined up! Yikes! I will finish them first.

Soon the holidays will be upon us and I will have to put a stop to everything and get back to shopping and decorating for the holidays. I have decorated for fall and Halloween for now. But Thanksgiving will be here before we know it and right behind that will be Christmas. I feel tired already thinking of all this. Sigh!

If you are looking for some ideas for your Christmas lists, check out my books and my giveaways. Since I cannot sell these items above I will happily give them away in a post coming soon. Watch for it! As for my books all you have to do is click on the covers to the right of this post or go to the links below.

Can I get some of that energy? LOL! I’ve got several WIPs – writing and craft related – I want to get done, and could use a bit of your energy to make a dent in the pile. Of course, it would help me if I didn’t keep adding new things to the lists too… LOL!
