Summer is rapidly leaving us behind! Flowers will be gone soon too!

I have been snapping photos of flowers all summer but now they are rapidly drying up. It’s sad to see them turning brown and shriveling up no matter how much we water them. It’s now time to say ‘goodbye.’

This has been a hot and rainy summer. We haven’t had too many days where we could eat out on our deck and enjoy the weather. We will appreciate every day we have left before the cold weather sets in.

Here are some of my Rose of Sharon bushes that are still blooming. But, I can see they are beginning to slow down producing new buds. Sigh! So sad!

The Rose of Sharon bushes have grown so high that they nearly cover our windows on one side of the house. Of course this fall they will all be cut down quite a bit.

From our kitchen window we enjoy the blooms on three Rose of Sharon bushes
This bush is in two colors – white & purple

I have enjoyed these flowers so much every year. August is when they are fully in bloom. Now in September they are still blooming but the blossoms are not as extensive. I will enjoy them until there is one last bloom on the bush. Then I look forward to next summer when they will be back again in all their glory.

I am sad to see the summer end but look forward to my favorite season of all – fall or autumn. There will be pumpkins, apple pie, the scent of pine in the air, colorful leaves as they turn to red, yellow, orange and apple picking. Each season brings joy to me. I am thankful to be here to enjoy each season.

Thank you so much for stopping by to read this post. I hope you have enjoyed whatever season you are in in your part of the world. Thank you for your kind support of my books, blog and for all the reviews that you may have posted wherever my books are sold.

Blessings & Hugs! Stay Safe, Stay Well and God Bless!
