More Additions to Saltwater Tank!

Life in a 95-gallon saltwater tank is fleeting. If you have been reading my posts about our fish tank you will note that we had three anemones. They were flourishing and happy but they are no longer here. They passed. We still don’t know what we did wrong. We fed them and provided rocks for them to settle on – but all to no avail. They might have made it if the clown fish had hosted them. Sigh!

Anemones who passed recently and wrasse above them

We have added a couple more fish to the tank. We had a die off recently and the only two fish that were left were two clown fish. They became territorial since they owned the tank by themselves and got used to that fact.

It is difficult to keep track of which fish we have had over the years, reason why I am always snapping photos of the tank so I can remember.

We now have two clowns, a gamma, brown tang, wrasse, spiny puffer, rabbit fish and coral beauty. The newest ones are the puffer and brown tang.

Puffer has been hiding up at the filter. It may be that someone in the tan was bothering him. We had that happen to the brown tang when we first put him in. He was being harassed by the coral beauty. They are now getting along fine. Sometimes the fish become territorial and assert themselves with the other fish. Once they settle their differences and where they want to sleep they fall in line just like a bunch of kids.

We do keep a close watch on the new arrivals so that they are safe. We scold the ones who bully them. The coral beauty would hide and leave the tang alone when I raised my hand and pointed at him to stop bothering the tang.

We used to have another puffer who grew to be quite large. He had beautiful blue eyes too. He was featured on a fellow author’s blog, Tori Zigler, and I also did other posts about him. Check out this post and others by putting in fish tank in search.

Thank you for stopping by to read this post. I hope you enjoyed seeing our new fish in their home. We will keep a watch on puffer to make sure he eats. John already called the fish store and they said he was probably being bothered by another fish. We hope he finds his place in the tank soon and makes some friends.

Thank you for your kind support of me, my books and blog and for any reviews you may have posted wherever my books are sold. I greatly appreciate the reviews! Please keep them coming! They are the only way that Amazon will recognize our books as worthy to promote. Please help make that happen! Thank you, readers!

Sorry you lost all the anenemies. 😦

Nice you have another puffer… Hope the other fish stop picking on him, so he can make friends and settle in soon.

So sorry you lost your anemones – they were so pretty! Maybe they are just too delicate. ANyway, you now have a nice population of fish, if they can learn to get along!

Thank you, Noelle. Such is life! People don’t get along either. They are doing better now. Puffer is nocturnal. He is coming out at night after everyone else is sleeping. Ha! 🐟💕
