There is No Place Like Home!

THERE IS NO PLACE LIKE HOME!

Now that we are back home it has been an adjustment due to the time changes, food, environment, elevation, etc. We are still trying to get into a regular schedule of sleeping and eating. It’s been tough. It may take a little while but we will eventually get back to normal.

I apologize to all my online friends whose blogs I have yet to peruse. I fear I will not get to read every one of your posts but will do my best skimming and liking them. Please forgive me. It is almost an impossibility to read everything I have missed and all 1000 of my emails which I am still looking through and deleting. If you have tried to reach me by email and I haven’t responded, please email me again and put IMPORTANT in Subject Line so I can find it. I am floundering right now.

Here are a few reasons to come back home – my gorgeous roses and other flowers are in full bloom.

Here’s a poem I wrote about my traveling.

THERE IS NO PLACE LIKE HOME!

I love to travel to far away places.

To see things I’ve never seen before.

Meet all kinds of people of different races.

From Madeira with its painted doors,

To Italy with its leaning tower.

One sea to shining sea.

Beautiful lands with gorgeous flowers.

Are there for all to see.

From one country to another.

Though far apart, we’re all sisters and brothers.

The wonders of this world

Are precious beyond belief.

Before our eyes they unfurl.

As I near our home though, I feel relief.

For no matter to what faraway lands I roam

There is still no place like good old home!

I am happy to be home to sleep in my own bed with my own pillow, to eat our regular food and follow our normal routine. It’s comforting to get back to all this. Sigh!

I have been so busy traveling, I didn’t get to do a Father’s Day post. I hope all fathers out there had a Happy Father’s Day.  I  fondly remember my special dad and miss him every day. Love you Dad!

My husband and I just celebrated our 19th anniversary. He surprised me with some beautiful roses. I feel blessed to have such a thoughtful husband. It’s been 19 wonderful years.

This has been a hectic time for us. In two weeks I will be celebrating my 70th birthday! I can’t believe that I will be that old! Sigh!

I want to thank everyone for their kind support this year so far in 2018. We are half-way through the year already! Thank you for purchasing my books, for writing the wonderful reviews, and for your continued support.

Watch for two new books from Jemsbooks if we can ever get back to completing them. Sigh! I am reviewing my beta readers’s note at present and hope to complete after final beta reader sends me her thoughts on the new book.

Thank you for stopping by to read this post. Free free to come back again real soon! Happy Solstice!

REMEMBER: READING GIVES YOU WINGS TO FLY! SOAR WITH JEMSBOOKS.COM ALL YEAR THROUGH! HAPPY READING! Reading is good for you!

Blessings & Hugs!

Happy anniversary to you and your husband. But–omg!–my mouth dropped when you said you would be celebrating your 70th. I hope I look half as good at your age, Janice. You look amazing!

Happy Anniversary to you and your hubby! I a working on my notes and will get them to you as soon as possible. Our son and his family from Boston were in town last week and while they were here he sold his Boston home and bought one here. I am beyond excited to have them back here. They will actually move sometime in mid-July. Tomorrow I have my one-year-old granddaughter but I hope to get my notes to you by Sunday. Love and hugs.

Janice, lovely to see you back and hope you’ve had an amazing time! It can be difficult to ‘land’ after a long trip, just be kind to yourself. During the summer when away for so long, I just start replying on new posts on blogs … it is impossible to catch up and everyone understands. A very happy anniversary to you both and what a sweet surprise from your husband. It’s my 19th anniversary next week … and I can’t believe how it’s flown by, but an amazing adventure together! Hugs, my friend! 🌺🌻

It’s always nice to take a vacation but sometimes I think getting home is even better! We were away three weeks last year and I actually wept when we came home. This time only two weeks, better!
Glad you are home, safe and sound!

  6. Glad you enjoyed your travels, and glad you made it home safely too. Welcome home! I’m sure you’ll be settled back in to your routine in no time. Happy anniversary, and belated blessed solstice. Also, good luck with finishing up the new books and getting those published.
