I am vacationing on the beautiful island of Aruba! This is the same island that Xander Bogaerts, third baseman of the 2013 World Series Champion Red Sox, lives. The island welcomed their famous son home this week with much fanfare. He is beloved and admired by all Arubans.
Here are a few pictures from an Aruban paper of the Red Sox Rookie.
Rumors have been rampant that some of the Red Sox may be coming to Aruba to celebrate and vacation with Xander this week. They have been invited to Aruba by the Aruban Minister. We vacationing Red Sox fans are keeping our fingers crossed and hoping to meet some of our baseball favorites such as Big Papi, Pedroia, Ellsbury, Victorino, Lester, Buckholst, Uehara, Napoli, etc.
This has been an incredible year for the Red Sox who came from last place the previous year to World Champions this year!
Congratulations to the unbelievable ‘comeback kids’, the Boston Red Sox!! We love you!
Please don’t hate me for being here as I share a few photos of Aruba.
Thank you readers for stopping by to read my blog about my favorite team and place to vacation. I hope you get to visit this fabulous place one day too!
I will share more with you about beautiful Aruba when I return to chilly New England that will always be my favorite home no matter what the weather.
Best wishes to all!

I am doing plenty of reading on the beach! Spreading the word down here about Louey the Lazy Elephant and Ricky the Rambunctious Raccoon.
Thank you for sharing your beautiful pictures and story with us, Janice. I can imagine how excited you are to have the Red Sox stars there, too! I’m not a Red Sox fan, but I know we’re still friends, regardless. D Missing you and glad you’re having fun.
Thank you, Deanie. Who wouldn’t love Aruba with all the sun, fun, and fabulous food! It is a great place to visit. The water is wonderful! All and all it is a very relaxing place to wind down and relieve stress!
Aruba is a fun place to go. It was a jumping off point for me to scuba dive in Bonaire.
The photographs were lovely and brought back so many memories as I spent way to many days/nights in Aruba too!
Thank you. I agree it is a beautiful place to visit! It us one of my favorites!
